ROSIE JANE DAIGNAULT Rosie Jane Daignault passed away peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2006 with her family at her side. She would have celebrated her 101st birthday on July 23. Rosie was born to John and Jane Swanson in Selkirk, MB on July 23, 1905. The family moved to Norway House, MB when she was five. She graduated from Cross Lake School at the age of 18. Following that she moved to Fort Frances where she was united in marriage to Augustin Michael Daignault on May 25, 1927. She worked in Dietary at LaVerendrye General Hospital and at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, MB retiring in 1970. She returned to Fort Frances in 1992. Rosie was a member of the Senior's Club #27 and St. John's Anglican Church. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Augustin in 1956; two sons, Leonard Joseph and Kenneth Edward; sister Viola and brother Alfred. Rosie leaves behind her daughter Priscilla Wright and friend Allan Heskins of Fort Frances; son Delmer Daignault and wife Adalene; seven grandchildren, Robert and Dennis Wright, Kevin, Nancy and Susan Daignault and Michael and Darren Daignault; great-grandchildren, Carson, Cale, Bianca, and Fiona. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Funeral Home. Friends may visit half an hour prior to the service. The pallbearers will be Delmer Daignault, Robert Wright, Dennis Wright, Allan Heskins, Gordon Busch, and Ted Davis. The honourary pallbearers will be Georgina Hayes, Helen Matheson and Joyce and Bob LaFreniere.
