Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSIE ROSEMARY KLIMPKE On July 24, 2006 after a short but valiant struggle with leukemia, Elsie passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband Ed in 2001. She leaves to mourn her children, Brian (Vicki), Larry (Phyllis), Sandy (Murray); grandchildren, Wade (Shannon), Evan (Mandy), Ashley (Doug), Kyle (Jenn), Erin (Tommy), Brett (Trina), Tyler and great-grandchildren, Tanner, Darrian and Kallynne; sister Sophie (John) and many extended family members. Born in the RM of Rockwood on May 27, 1923, she was one of nine siblings. Mom grew up on the family farm until she met and married Dad on December 5, 1942. They started their farming life together in Lilyfield, MB. Mom enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to the fullest, whom she loved equally and unconditionally. Over the years Mom could be seen at hockey rinks and baseball diamonds no matter how old her children and grandchildren were. She enjoyed listening to her granddaughter Ashley sing at many functions. Mom was proud of her family and supportive in every aspect of their lives. She had a great sense of humor right to the very end. May she rest in peace, loved, but not forgotten. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Wade, Evan, Kyle, Brett, Tyler and her granddaughter Erin. Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 27 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church (just north of Inkster), 2528 King Edward St., Winnipeg, Pastor Jan Pastucha officiating. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or to a charity of one's choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
