EMMA (EM) HEIDRICK (nee PILOUS) Passed away peacefully July 3, 2006 at Eagle Ridge Hospital, Port Moody, BC. Born April 27, 1917 in Winnipeg, MB, Emma was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 35 years in 1976. She was also predeceased by nine siblings. Emma is lovingly remembered by children, Bill (Kathie), Arleen Janzen (Claudio), Jack (Wendy), Andy (Myla), Terri Peach; grandchildren, Christopher (Golda), Andrea (Shawn), Kristen, Karyn, Caytie, Daniel and Ned, and a great grandchild, Trevor. Mom was an accomplished athlete in her time, and continued to be an avid gardener and committed bowler through her 89 years. She was ahead of her time as a recycler and as a proponent of whole, raw foods and herbal remedies. Mom enjoyed a good game of Scrabble or bridge, and was always a vigorous participant in any games' opportunities at family gatherings. Her spirit of endurance in later years was a wonderful gift to us; we will miss Mom dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. A memorial service will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, Thursday, August 3 at 1:00 p.m.
