Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOM SINGH MOUND The Mound, Parwana, Saini and Bedwal families are sad to announce the passing of Om Singh Mound on July 25, 2006. He was born in Pakistan on August 6, 1945, Om Singh Mound moved to India two years later. After his schooling days Om Singh Mound joined the Indian Military for 15 years. He courageously fought against Pakistan in 1965 and 1971. He would often talk to us about his battles and how proud he was to serve his country. Om Singh Mound then worked in Italy on a cargo ship where he was able to travel to exotic countries such as Singapore and Australia. After working hard for many years he retired to Salempur, India in 1984. Very recently he and his wife had moved to Winnipeg in order to be with his youngest son and family. Left behind to mourn are: his father Kishan Chand; wife Surjit Kaur Mound; sons, Gurnam Singh Mound and wife Manjit Kaur, Harvinder Singh Mound and wife Kuljinder Kaur, Kulwinder Singh Mound and wife Charanjit Kaur; brothers, Rajinder Singh Saini and family, Mangal Singh Mound and family; sisters, Satnam Kaur Parwana and family, Viday Kaur and family; grandsons, Jaskaran, Charanjit, Gurvinder and Kuldeep and granddaughter Gurpreet. Om Singh Mound also had an extended family and a wide network of friends and family. He was predeceased by his sister Bimla Kaur. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, July 30 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson In The Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Sahez Path will be held at Singh Sabha Gurudwara immediately following. Our beloved Baba Ji, Daddy Ji, Taya Ji, Chacha Ji, Mama Ji and Foji Ji. We will miss you dearly.
