Rita and Raymond were married on June 15, 1968. Ray was a devoted husband with whom she shared her life and her dreams. Rita spent countless hours doing volunteer work for the benefit of her children, her parish, her community as well as helping the seniors at the local nursing home in Lac du Bonnet. One of her goals was to remain fit by doing a number of physical activities on a regular basis. Rita was a dedicated individual who wanted to make a difference in the lives of others. Upon retirement, Ray and Rita enjoyed travelling, playing golf, entertaining family and friends, lending a helping hand to her children, near and far and who made time to enjoy life to the fullest. In 2005, they climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa in spite of her illness. For several years, Rita was also a seamstress par excellence . In 1991, she opened her own dress-making shop in Lac du Bonnet. She loved to make wedding dresses and a wide variety of special children's clothing for her grandkids. Besides these qualities, Rita was also a dedicated wife and a loving mom and memere, a big sister to her siblings, as well as a caring community member. ....it is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we say our farewell to you, Rita, but we take heart in knowing that the Lord has chosen you among his servants to go on this special and unique journey to continue to watch over us in His heavenly home....we love you.
