HENRY KLASSEN After a lengthy battle with a respiratory illness, Henry Klassen passed away Friday afternoon, July 28, 2006 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 79 years. Henry was predeceased by his daughter June; parents, Sara and Abram and four brothers. He is survived and still deeply loved by his wife Florence, his brother-in-law Will and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Hank loved to talk about the years he spent operating heavy equipment for Litz and enjoyed many years of employment with the City of Winnipeg. He made many good friends wherever he went because he was a good friend and loved people. Although illness marked the later part of Henry's life, that pain was dwarfed by the love and affection he felt for Florence and June. Henry never gave up the fight that he eventually lost and he never lost his remarkable capacity for kindness and cheerful disposition. We will always remember his example of how caring, considerate and resilient a man can be. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (Aubrey Street Entrance) with interment at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2P4, or the charity of your choice. neil bardal inc. 949-2200
