BARBARA SMITH Barb left us peacefully on July 25, 2006 in her 66th year. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents, and leaves behind numerous relatives and friends to cherish her memory. Barb had many obstacles in her life but throughout them she was able to maintain her sense of humour and generous nature. Barb was a colourful person who loved to meet new people and to throw impromptu parties for her friends. She enjoyed rocking in her rocking chair, going out for breakfast, and spending time with animals. Burial has already taken place in Barb's family plot at Hillside Cemetery in Portage la Prairie. A service to celebrate Barb's life will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, in the Extended Treatment Unit at Selkirk Mental Health Center. All are welcome to attend.
