HELEN WERESTIUK (nee YAREMCHUK) After a courageous battle with cancer our dear mother went into the arms of our Lord. Mom leaves to mourn her children, Adele, Emil (Wanda), Jerry (Karen), Shirley (Jerry), Ronnie (Debbie), Judy (Terry), Rose (Yves), eleven grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her husband Samuel; her parents, Millie and Michael Yaremchuk; and brothers, Nick and Pete. Mom was born in Sundown, MB on June 1, 1924 and retired from Domtar Packaging in 1985. Our mom was a great mother who worked very hard raising her children. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grand-children and was very proud of them all. If you ever had the privilege to go to our dear Mother's home you would hardly walk through the door and she would have food ready for you on the table. She was the world's greatest cook in our eyes. Mom's greatest passion was cooking, sewing, and canning preserves. Once again the family would like to thank Dr. Grass, Sandy Porko of W.R.H.A. and staff, and the Central Health Palliative Care staff for their loving care and support. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
