LOUISE MEISTER On Tuesday, August 8, 2006, Louise died at the Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 98 years. Left to celebrate Louise's life is her daughter Ellie Balske (Manfred); grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, who was claimed by the Second World War and her son Rudolf in 1989, while camping in the Whiteshell Park. Louise was born in Halbstadt, Russia on September 4, 1907 to Johann and Sara Fast. In 1948, with her two children, her sister Helen and son Victor, Louise made the voyage to Canada in search of new beginnings. Mom didn't acquire great possessions. Her tough spirit in bringing her family to Canada made her successful in everything she did. Her hands were always busy, cooking, sewing and caring for her family, no matter what the situation. She was an inspiration to us all and will be sadly missed. A private family funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's All Beliefs and Faiths Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Louise's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Louise's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
