Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAN GRACE BROWN (nee Bell) Peacefully, Mrs. Joan Brown, aged 68 years, of Lac du Bonnet, MB, dearly beloved wife of Alastair Brown, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Pinawa Hospital. She is survived by her husband Alastair Brown, son Wayne Piett (Deb Peters), daughter Donna Crawford (Joe) of New Brunswick, grandchildren, Jarred and Julie, their father and grandfather Ralph Piett, seven brothers, two sisters and their families. She was predeceased by her father Ernest Stanley Bell and her mother Laura Grace Bell (nee Emery). Mom was born on June 15, 1938 in Winnipeg, MB. She grew up and lived in Winnipeg later moving to Lac du Bonnet when she retired. She really loved the outdoors, boating, camping and numerous other activities including sports, music, dancing, golfing, playing pool, curling and playing bridge. She loved travelling and people. Special thanks to the Oncology Department Staff, especially Astra, at Victoria Hospital in Winnipeg and Dr. Petkau and staff at Pinawa Hospital. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Ave. East, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Jeff Kilmartin officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations in Joan's memory may be made to the Nature Conservancy of Canada, Suite 200, 611 Corydon Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0P3.
