ROBERT KENNETH FOOTE It is with a sense of great loss that we announce the passing of Robert Kenneth Foote, age 86, on August 17, 2006 at Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg. Ken is lovingly remembered by Dorothy, his wife of 58 years; children: Gail (Ahmet Leylek) and their children, Melike, Kerem, Sinan, and Tarik; Gordon, Susan (Clayton Cracklen). Ken was born on August 13, 1920 in Pasqua, SK and grew up in Moose Jaw. He was president of his high school and in all the school musicals. He started his 41 year career with CP Rail as a bicycle messenger. This career was interrupted when he joined the Canadian Armed Forces, serving in Europe during The Second World War. He was District Manager, Marketing and Sales in Winnipeg when he retired. Ken was very involved with the United Church and The Lions Band while in Regina. Everyone enjoyed Ken's sense of humour and his zest for life. He enjoyed his retirement spending time with his four grandchildren of whom he was extremely proud, playing golf and getting together with a group fondly called the CP Grads. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface General Hospital, and Deer Lodge Centre for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ken's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, Dept. Radiation Oncology, 675 McDermot Avenue, R3E 0V9. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will take place at a later date. THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 MCGILLIVRAY BLVD WWW.THOMSONINTHEPARK.COM 925-1120
