ARTHUR PIERRE NOEL LACROIX With his family by his side, Art passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2006 at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 68. Art was born October 18, 1937 in St. Claude. In 1959 he married his best friend and soul mate, Irene, nee Singbeil. Art will be lovingly remembered by his wife; his son Michael (Kathy) Lacroix; his daughter Brenda (Randy) Olafson; his granddaughters, Nichole and JaNae Lacroix; his grandsons, Aurrie and Eric Olafson; his brother Harvey (Betty) Lacroix and his sister Lorraine (Russell) Hebb. As well as his mother-in-law Edna Singbeil; brother-in-law Frank (Jocelyne) Singbeil; nieces and nephews, Derrick, Noella, Leanne, Kayla and Courtney, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Art's greatest passion was being there for his family. He loved to help everyone with their projects and enjoyed having everyone around him. He loved to watch Aurrie and Eric play hockey. His favourite time of year was Christmas, when he played Santa and handed out gifts to his family. Art was employed by HBC for over 30 years until his retirement. He was President of the Grand Marais Recreation Centre and Secretary of the North Star Hill Climbers snowmobile club. He loved coaching hockey, fishing and hunting. Art and his family loved to camp in the Grand Beach area and that is where they eventually made their final home. The family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors on the 4th floor and 7th floor MICU/SICU unit at Health Sciences Centre for their great care and compassion.
