WILLIAM PAUL MAHARA June 23, 1932 August 19, 2006 It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Bill Mahara at Riverview Hospital at the age of 74. Bill was born on June 23, 1932 in Winnipeg. He enjoyed his years of employment at the City of Winnipeg until his retirement, where he made many lasting friendships. Bill was a life long bachelor but was not without family and chose to be a wonderful mentor to everyone that called him Uncle Bill. He enjoyed the outdoors and took part in many fishing trips, snowmobiling and other outdoor activities. Bill was a lover of animals, especially his German Shepherds, Shadow and Ike. Bill had an outgoing personality and a love of life; even in his final days, he remained positive and cheerful to everyone. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends. We would like to thank the staff of Riverview Hospital for their care and compassion. At Bill's request, there will be no memorial service and cremation has taken place.
