Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTOR D. KROEGER In loving memory of Victor David Kroeger, husband, father and brother. Victor passed away on August 22, 2006 at the age of 69 years. He is survived by his wife Agatha (Wiebe); two daughters Margaret and Elizabeth; two sisters and their families, Margaret and Victor Unger, and Agnes and Cornelius Sawatsky. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Dietrich and Angeneta (Penner) Kroeger and three brothers, Dietrich, Peter and Jake. He was born June 15, 1937 in Neu Chortitza, Ukraine. He and his family left the Ukraine as refugees heading west at the age of five. They arrived in Quebec City, Canada in 1948 at age 11 and settled in Niverville, MB. He met his wife Aggie at Elim Bible School and was married April 19, 1960. He was baptized upon confession of his faith and acceptance of Jesus as his Lord in 1959 in the Bergthaler Mennonite Church and later transferred his membership to Springstein Mennonite Church in 2001. He was a school teacher for several years. He later became a Technologist working for Atomic Energy of Canada for 30 plus years. He retired in 1998 to build his dream home on seven acres in the country just outside Oak Bluff, MB. He loved to dabble with gardening and landscaping. He enjoyed hosting the many people that passed through their home. He spent many hours watching his favourite ministers on the TV and reading to become closer to his God and Lord. He supported several ministries. Viewing will be on Monday, August 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St., Winnipeg.
