ROSE (DONNA) MUNRO Peacefully on August 23, 2006, Donna passed away at the age of 54. She is survived by her loving husband Wayne Byquist; her daughters, Marla (Don) and Devi; her granddaughter Riya and numerous family and friends. Donna was born on September 17, 1951 in Birch River MB and was raised in Shoal River MB. She attended high school at Frontier Collegiate in Cranberry - Portage. She then moved to Winnipeg and later attended the University of Manitoba, where she received her teaching certificate. She began her teaching career at Little Ones' School (Indian and Metis Friendship Centre). After a few years, she began a long career with the Winnipeg School Division #1 at Dufferin School. She loved working as a kindergarten teacher, building many fond memories with co-workers, students and their families. Mom loved cooking, fishing and reading, amongst many other hobbies. She cherished time spent with her friends and family, traveling near and far to see them, especially her only grandbaby, Riya. The family would like to thank the ICU staff, Angela, and Dr. Macek at the Grace Hospital for the wonderful care they provided. We would also like to thank our friends and family for all the support they have given. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday August 28, 2006 at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grace Hospital.
