FREDA PAULINE MARSHALL (nee BEENY) April 12, 1922 - August 22, 2006 Peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, Freda Marshall passed away at Deer Lodge Centre, with her family by her side. Freda will be lovingly remembered by her husband Richard; daughter Wendy (Dennis); son Kerry (Marie-Anne); grandchildren, Sawyer, Preslee, and Tyson; sister Evelyn; sister-in-law Rita; uncle Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Freda was predeceased by her granddaughter Jordyn in 2005. Freda led an active life that included a life-long love of baseball. In her later years, Freda always looked forward to her winter vacations in Pompano Beach, Florida. Freda's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre for their compassionate care. A celebration of Freda's life will be held on Tuesday, August 29, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, with viewing one half-hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Freda's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or the Rehabilitation Centre for Children, 611 Wellington Cres., Winnipeg, MB R3M 0A8.
