SHERRON JUNE LILA DICKSON (nee HILL) 1949 - 2006 On Monday, August 14, 2006 Sherron J.L. Dickson died peacefully in Fredericton, NB following a lengthy battle with breast cancer fought with courage, dignity and determination. Sherron was born in Winnipeg, MB on June 1, 1949, the daughter of Lila Hill and the late Richard (Dick) Hill. She was educated in Winnipeg and graduated from the University of Manitoba (B.A. 1970). She relocated to New Brunswick in 1971 and attended the University of New Brunswick (M.A.) 1973 and LL.B. 1977). A lawyer by profession, Sherron was a past president of the Fredericton Law Society, the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She was also an honorary member of the Law Society of Manitoba. She was well known as a superb cook and gracious hostess. In addition to her mother, Sherron is survived by her much loved and loving husband, Julian A.G. Dickson of Fredericton; her sister Judie Hill and her partner Joseph Nieckarz of Beausejour, and also her brother Stephen Hill of Winnipeg. Funeral service was held at Christ Church Cathedral in Fredericton on Thursday, August 17, followed by cremation.
