RITA RICKETTS It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Rita Ricketts on Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at the Vista Park Lodge. Ms. Rita Ricketts was born on December 19, 1933, came from Jamaica and lived in Canada for 40 years. She worked at the Municipal Hospital for approximately 25 years as a nursing assistant. She achieved a diploma as a practical nurse from Chicago, IL in 1967. She was predeceased by her mother, father, sister and two brothers. Rita will be sadly missed by her daughter Sandra; her sister Mrs. Eileen James; two brothers, Lambert Watson and Nathan Watson. Nieces and nephews include the James from Haughton Grove, Jamaica. Cousins include Edward Waite (Jamaica), Byron Watson (Jamaica), Dennis Watson (Jamaica), the Cargills in Hopewell (Jamaica), Desmond Watson (England) and many others in the United States. The family would like to thank the staff of Vista Park Lodge for the care and compassion they gave to Rita during her stay there. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St., with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
