Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIECZYSLAW SZKWAREK Peacefully, with his loving wife Adel at his side, Mieczyslaw passed away on September 3, 2006. Mieczyslaw was born in Tarnowica Polna, Poland and immigrated to Canada with his wife Adel in 1958. He was employed with CPR until his retirement. He was a strong, loving and devoted husband and uncle to many. He was an incredibly giving person who had a deep love for life, family and friends. He was a proud citizen of Canada but remained a fiercely patriotic Pole until the day he died. He will forever be remembered as a man of wisdom who could be turned to for advice in times of need. Mieczyslaw is survived by his wife of 58 years, Adel, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews in Winnipeg and Poland. He was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Andrzej Szkwarek and other family members in Winnipeg and Poland. Heartfelt thanks to all those that helped the family at this most difficult time. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
