MICHELLE ANDREA SKAWINSKI 1980 2006 It is with deep sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of Michelle on September 2, 2006 at Concordia Hospital. Misia, as she was known to friends and family alike, was born on October 10, 1980 in Winnipeg. She attended elementary through high school in the East and North Kildonan area where she met many of her life long friends. She obtained her Travel Agent diploma from the Toronto School of Business in 1999 where she savoured life in the big city. Misia had been anxiously looking forward to returning to school this fall to obtain her degree in nursing. Michelle delighted in travelling at every opportunity and looked forward to many more years of exploring the world and finding interesting places to eat. Misia brought a ray of sunshine into the life of everyone she touched. She was the essence of Spirited Energy . Michelle's memory will be forever cherished by her many close friends too numerous to mention here. She'll be sadly missed by her mother Janina (Jim) Smithson and her father Andrew Skawinski; her grandmothers, Kazimiera Machniak of Winnipeg and Maria (Joe) Szymczak of Phoenix; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and relatives throughout Canada and the United States. Prayers and a celebration of Michelle's life will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Friday, September 8, at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Church, 541 Marion Street with Father Sebastian Gacki officiating. If friends so wish, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba in lieu of flowers. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
