Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA (VICKI) MARY HALISCHAK 1956 - 2006 On Monday, September 4, 2006, Victoria passed away at Riverview Health Centre. Victoria is survived by her husband Charles Contois; her children, Michael, Nathan, Shannon and Steve. She also leaves to mourn her mother Mary Halischak; her sister RoseAnn Roy (Armand). Brothers, Stan, Bernie (Eleanor), Frank (Jocelyn), Andy and numerous nieces and nephews. Victoria was predeceased by her infant daughter Mandy and her father Nick Halischak. A special thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the loving care you have shown Vicki. Also to CancerCare, Palliative Care and all the doctors that have cared for her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 8 at 10:30 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Graveside interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre Foundation. The strongest person I know, she would do her best to keep me on a straight and narrow path. Even when I would veer off the path instead of getting mad she would give me a choice of what to do and would teach me that life is about choices and the ones you pick are the ones that shape your life. I never knew my dad so she would play both roles it wasn’t perfect.... but it was my family. To this day I do my best and try my hardest because that’s how my Mom taught me.
