MARIA DE JESUS DIAS LABAO Peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2006, Maria Labao passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 94 Years. Maria was born at Rabao de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Acores on July 19, 1912 and immigrated to Canada on November 23, 1966. Maria was predeceased by her husband Manuel Labao and her son Manuel Labao. She will be missed by her daughters, Maria (Manuel) Pimentel, Conceicao (Jose) Rego and Goretti (Jose) Gravito; sons, Antonio (Maria) Labao and Domningos (Gloria) Labao; by 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and by her daughter-in-law Isaura Labao Prayers will be said on Tuesday, September 12 at 8:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin St. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m., also at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros the Celebrant. Entombment will follow the service at Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Pimentel, Tony Pimentel, Carlos Labao, Ricardo Gravito, Bobby Brum and Alvaro Faria The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nurses of Unit 2 on the third floor at the Seven Oaks Hospital for the excellent care Maria received during her time there.
