He was 84. He leaves behind his daughters, Irena Najdowski, Barbara Ewalt and Margeret Clarke; his grandchildren, Christopher, Elizabeth and Jackie Bourassa; and his great-grandchildren Jacob, Nicholas and Nina. Connie was predeceased by his wife Nadia Najdowski who passed away in November 2002. Before immigrating to Canada in 1949, Connie served as a Private in the Military Labour Service of the US Liberation Army in Germany. Connie was an accomplished musician, playing for many years at private functions in Winnipeg, as well as a loyal employee of Weston Bakeries where he worked for 25 years prior to his retirement in 1983. At Connie's request, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held, except for divine liturgy which was celebrated for him by Fr. Bohdan Lukie on September 7, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Ukranian Church in West Kildonan. He will be greatly missed by his family. May he rest in peace in God's care.
