BERTA LUNDGREN On Friday, September 8, 2006 at the Concordia Hospital, Berta passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Berta was the beginning of five generations, and is survived by her daughters Beverley and Sandra; son Don; eight grandchildren, Cheryl, Ken, Shannon, Dana, Cameron, Malissa, Mark and Jaymes; nine great-grandchildren, Kristen, Aimee, Angel, Jesse, Hannah, Emily, Noah, Jeremy, and Ashley; five great-great-grandchildren, Grace, Hailey, Colten, Austin, and Desiree; and Berta's special friend Al Richert. Berta was predeceased by her husband Russell, her daughter Susan, and her granddaughter Linda. Berta was raised in Elmwood (Winnipeg) and lived her adult life in East Kildonan. She always loved to dance. After raising children, she worked at several jobs including as a Kindergarten Teacher. In later years she enjoyed life to the fullest with family and a community of friends at her church and Good Neighbours Senior Centre. She was busy playing bridge, line dancing, painting water colours, attending seniors' dances, bowling, and mini golfing. Her family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home who provided so much love and care. Berta's life will be celebrated on Tuesday September 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the East Kildonan Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, you can make donations to the East Kildonan Baptist Church, 700 Watt Street, Winnipeg, R2K 2S7, or to a charity of your choice.
