ALOYSIUS PERERA With wonderful memories and warmest of thoughts, we announce the passing of Aloysius Perera on September 10, 2006. Aloysius was born in 1917, spending his early years in Sri Lanka and later joining his children in Canada. He was a spirited individual who took particular pride in his roots, becoming an active member within the Sri Lankan community, and a founding member of the Sri Lankan Association of Manitoba. He enjoyed the company of those around him, and will be missed by all who knew him. He is remembered by his wife Bella; his children, Callista (Nimal), Shirani (Sarath), Sunil (Soma), Felix Daya (Sunimal), Ranjith (Rani), Hugh (Eran), Nilmini (Nandalal); and his 15 grandchildren, Nishan (Wendy), Nimali (Dave), Tamara, Charlene, Dayan (Carolyn), Nimali, Dayan Shyamie, Dillon, Rukshanthi (Ananda), Shihan, Duane, Ryan, Ishani, Neshali and Shenali. It was also with joy that he was able to share his life with three great-grandchildren, Maya, Kylie, and Keenan. The family would like to take this moment to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Dissanayake for her compassionate care, as well as the many warm thoughts received from the Sri Lankan community.
