BEATRICE (BEA) PATRICIA WOLCZUK (nee PETRA HAWRYLUK) Much loved, Bea passed away peacefully on September 9, 2006. She was born in Foley, MB on September 15, 1912. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Patricia of Victoria, her son Bob (Doris) of Calgary and sisters, Lena and Josie of Winnipeg plus many close friends and relatives. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband John in 1978 and brothers, Andrew, Anthony and Paul plus sisters, Anne, Helen and Stella. Bea was a very special person to all that knew her. She loved to meet people and chat with them whoever they were and wherever she was. She had a wonderful sense of humour. She enjoyed travelling and seeing the world with her daughter Patricia and friend Tim, from Istanbul to Auckland and Alaska to Cape Horn. Bea loved to garden and for many years had a garden at the family cottage at Lake Winnipeg and more recently at her apartment in Victoria. Church was an important part of Bea's life and she gained many lasting friendships over the years. Certainly her family was most important to her. Bea spent many happy days visiting with her daughter and son as well as her sisters. She enjoyed great conversations with her many nieces / nephews and other relatives. Over her lifetime, Bea was an active participant in many community organizations including being President of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League in Manitoba. More recently, she was a volunteer for several organizations such as the Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Victoria. A Celebration of Life' will be held at Parkdale Evangelical Free Church, 1095 Tolmie Ave., Victoria at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15. Interment will take place in Winnipeg next summer.
