PAULA DUNNING It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Paula Dunning on September 2, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital with family at her side. Paula is survived by her husband Cecil, sisters Jeanne and Yvonne (Jos), sons John (Sharon) and Ron (Doris), granddaughters, Michelle (Jeff), Tracy (Darryl), Kim (Dan), great-granddaughters Sydney, Mackenzie, Jordyn, Hannah and great-grandson Samuel, niece Sylvia (Garry), stepgrandson Bobby (Janet), stepgreat-grandsons Ryan and Devin and step great-granddaughter Shannon. Paula was born December 22, 1926 in Antwerp, Belgium. She immigrated to Canada in 1946 as a war bride. Paula and Cecil were afforded the gift of 60 wonderful years together. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 9, 2006. For those who had the honour of knowing Paula, it was clear how much her family meant to her. Our family will forever miss her love and we will cherish our many wonderful memories. If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, We'd walk right up to Heaven And bring you home again Sincere thanks to the oncology / palliative care team at CancerCare, St. Boniface Hospital Unit for the compassion and care afforded Paula, with a special thanks to Dr. Paul Daeninck. In accordance with Paula's wishes, a private family service was held on September 8, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paula's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 1160 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
