Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD SANDERSON Donald Sanderson passed away peacefully on September 14, 2006 at Grace Hospital. Don was born in Winnipeg on January 15, 1918 and was predeceased by his first wife Ruth (nee Antill), his second wife Mary (nee Matthew), brothers Ken and Clarence and stepson Kenny Maitland. Don is survived by sons Doug (Lynda), Garth (Shelly), stepson Gord Maitland (Peggy), granddaughters Colleen and Brenda Kraglund (Kevin), brother Harold (Sheelah) and numerous nephews and nieces. Don was first employed at the Winnipeg Roller Rink where, for tips, he put skates on the customers. Later on, he worked at Western Glove Works before moving onto Eaton's where he worked for over 40 years. He took great pride in all of his accomplishments. He enjoyed camping, canoeing and time spent with family. Don supported the YMCA for many years through the Y's Men's Club. He also spent many happy times with friends at the St. Patrick and St. Jude Lunch Bunch and most recently, the Golden West Senior's Group. The family wishes to thank the staff at Grace Hospital. A memorial service will be held at St. George's Crescentwood Anglican Church, 168 Wilton Street at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace General Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7 or the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1932, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2.
