Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVI BAMFORD (nee HODGSON) November 18, 1943 - September 13, 2006 Suddenly, on Wednesday, September 13, 2006, Vi passed away at her residence in Calgary, AB. Vi was predeceased by her mother Dorothy and father Clare. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Quinn; son Michael; step daughter Joanna; step son Mike; brother Roy (Dale); sisters, Bernice (Neil), Margaret (Dave); nieces, Tracey, Kristy and family; other relatives and friends. Vi grew up in Hamiota, MB. She left home at the early age of seventeen to start her nursing career. Vi graduated from Misericordia School of Nursing. She continued nursing for a number of years. Vi spent many enjoyable hours in her vegetable garden and later in life in her flower beds at the cottage at Sandy Hook where she and Quinn enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at Thomson Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. Flowers may be sent to Thomson Funeral Home. Third time trying to send this - computer freezes! Firsly my sincere sympathy to the family. My adopted father Harry A.Carman spoke often of Quinn Bamford - not sure of the relationship but I believe nephew through marriage. He was related to the Ackland family through his marriage to Jeanetta Ackland among other known wpg families, and I know he would want me to express sympathy for your loss.
