LEON J. SNIDOR (also known as LEO SIDOR) With sorrow and deep regret we announce the unexpected passing of Leon Snidor, aged 79, at his residence in Winnipeg, earlier this week; Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Leo was born January 25, 1927, in the West End. He attended grades one to nine in the Red School in Brooklands and completed grade 11 at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. He then joined the R.C.A.F. and trained as an aircraft mechanic at various bases. He later worked in the payroll office in C.F.B. Winnipeg, and as a car mechanic. He was married and had one son Gregory. Leo leaves to mourn his loss, his only sister Jane, her husband Raymond, niece Adrienne, nephew Gerrard (Texas) and nephew Maurice, his wife Heather and their two children. He was predeceased by his father Joseph in 1958, mother Sophia Sidor in 2001 and numerous family members. After his divorce and during our father's fight with cancer, Leo lived with Mom until she went to the Holy Family Nursing Home in 1997. He chose a relatively reclusive life thereafter. God grant you the wisdom, understanding and peace you always craved. I will remember the good times. There will be a service on Tuesday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc. 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, followed by interment at Brookside Cemetery. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
