Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA HAGENLOCHER (nee REUSCH) April 6, 1930 September 15, 2006 Maria passed away peacefully on Friday, September 15, 2006 at her son's home. Maria was predeceased by parents Hettwig and Joseph Reusch. Mom will be sadly missed by her children Edda Imhof (Robert), Peter (Evril); grandchildren Pamela Kreis ( Norman), Grace, Heidi and Samuel Hagenlocher, and great-grandsons Ricky and Daniel. She is also survived by her sisters Gertrud Swoboda, Elisabeth Schuy (Alex) and brother Willi Reusch (Margot) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who live in Germany. Mom will also be remembered by lifelong and recent friends in Winnipeg and Germany. Mom was born and raised in Nentershausen, Germany. In 1959 she immigrated to Winnipeg with her husband and two children. She worked at Tache Geriatric Hospital and at the Donwood Manor Personal Care Home as a nurse's aid. After retiring, Mom loved the outdoors and spent many hours tending her garden, during the summer months. She often spoke of the pleasure she derived from her flowers and plants. Mom was known for her creative craft-work and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Each year, at Christmas craft sales, many people bought the doll clothes and scarves, toques, slippers and socks Mom had made. Flowers are gratefully declined; however memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 21 at The Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish, 264 Donwood Drive, with the Rev. Fr. Wenbeslao Rebillaco officiating. Interment will occur at a later date.
