DOROTHY LOUISE GRIFFITH (nee SCHACHT) Peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Middlechurch Personal Care Home, Dorothy Griffith passed away at the age of 72. Dorothy was predeceased by husband John (Jack) Griffith, son Gary John Griffith, brother John Weger and sister Anne Chapman. Left to cherish her memory are: son David Griffith, sisters Caroline and Martha, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. Dorothy was born in Winnipeg on November 26, 1933, growing up in Elmwood; she married Jack in 1956 moving to West Kildonan to raise a family. Dorothy spent most of her life as a homemaker. Mom will be remembered for her patience and understanding. She gave of herself unconditionally and was always there to help her children, friends and family. The family would like to offer a special thanks to the nurses, aides, and support staff of the Appletree Wing of the Middlechuch Home for their kindness, understanding and great patience during mom's stay there. At Dorothy's request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of mom's life will be held on Thursday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel (Rose Room), 1442 Main St. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Dorothy's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St, Wpg MB R3C 4G2 or a charity of choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
