Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGREGORY JOHN O. ROBERT It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our dad and husband Gregory JO Robert. Born June 1, 1952 passed away September 19, 2006. Greg lived his life helping others, always lending a helping hand to anyone, friends or not. He grew up loving to tinker with cars, bikes etc., anything mechanical that was his passion. He rode dirt bikes when he was young and graduated to more speed the older he got. In 1973, he purchased a new Kawasaki 900 motorcycle, which was his pride and joy for many years. He met several new friends during this time in his life and right up till the time of his death, still got together as often as possible with his buds to do what they liked to call the Swinery. That was meeting at least once every 6-8 months to pig out on food and enjoy an evening of reminiscing about all the good times they had over the years. Greg worked at Motor Coach Industries for 25 years until he was no longer able to work due to his illness. Greg was so looking forward to getting a new liver and being able to help his younger son Tyler complete their project (1982 Chevy S-10) pick up truck, their pride and joy. Anyone that knows Greg can relate as that was all he talked about for several months. Greggie as he was known by most of his friends will be sadly missed. He is predeceased by his mother Elsie Robert; his father Ovila Robert; and his younger brother Tim. He leaves to cherish his life, his wife of 19 years Darcy; and two sons, Troy (21) and Tyler (16). A celebration of his life will be held at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Avenue West on Monday, September 25, at 1:00 p.m. We would like to thank Dr. Renner and his staff for all the support in getting Greg to Edmonton for the liver assessment. Also the doctors, nurses and staff of GH4 wing at HSC Hospital for all their support and caring in the final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Liver Foundation of Manitoba. If you would like to do something special for Greg, we ask you to sign your organ donor cards, so that someone else may have the life Greg was not able to get in time. Funeral arrangements in care of WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 211 Regent Avenue West, 224-1525.
