STANLEY ROBERT EARLY Bob was born in Winnipeg on April 10, 1938 to Pauline and Joseph Early. He spent most of his childhood in the St. James area, finishing his education at Daniel MacIntyre Collegiate. In 1956, he was hired by Trans Air in Churchill. Bob joined the volunteer fire department and thus began his fire fighting career. In 1958, he was employed by DND as a full time fireman. In 1965, he moved to Pinawa and worked for AECL and the Pinawa Volunteer Fire Department. Bob loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and hockey (Maple Leafs). On September 20, 2006 at the Victoria Hospital he succumbed to his illnesses. Bob was predeceased by his parents Pauline and Joseph Early, brother Jim, sister Joey and her husband Chip. Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife Gerry, daughters Lori, Judy, Joan and son Wayne (Judith), his grandchildren Ricky (Sandy), Chris (Leanne), Jamie, Andy, Kristen, Megan, Colleen and great-granddaughter Paige, his brother Eddy and sisters-in-law Irene and Marilyn. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Many thanks to the staff at Cancer Care and the Victoria Hospital.
