DORIS VIOLET LAING (nee JENNER) September 13, 1914 September 22 , 2006 Suddenly on Friday September 22, Doris, with her family at her side, passed away quietly at Seven Oaks Hospital at the grand age of 92 years young. She was a loving and kind mother that always thought of her family before herself. She was predeceased by husband Art, daughter Linda, sister Ettie and brothers Art, Harry, Ron and Gilbert. Doris will be lovingly remembered as the quiet, gentle lady she was by; Jean (Frank) Jeff, Marcie, Michelle, and Chris, Glen (Marilyne), Bryan and Stefie; Kevin (Lynette) Brandon and Cadence, Wendy (Gary), Trayza, and Linda's son's, Robert and Stephen. David (Margaret) Kristine (Dave), Lauri and Autumn, Cathy (Ted), Maya, Jason (Kelly). Also her nieces, nephews, cousins and sister-in-law Pearl. Our Mom ,Grandma , Gramm , Nana and Great-Grandma will remain in our hearts forever. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fraser and Rev. Helen Hunter officiating. Cremation has taken place with private interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Winnipeg or Cancer Care Manitoba, available at the service, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
