GISELLE MONASTERSKI (nee PURDY) Giselle Monasterski peacefully passed away with her family by her side on September 24, 2006 at the Stonewall and District Health Centre. Giselle will be lovingly remembered by her husband Darryl; parents, Earl and Diane Purdy; brother Gunnar (Susan) Purdy; nephews, Graeme, Mitchell and Tyler Purdy; mother-in-law Adelia Monasterski; sister-in-law Gloria (Anthony) Lynch; nephews, Christopher and Joshua Lynch; brother-in-law Terry (Darlene) Monasterski; nieces, Jenessa and Jennifer Monasterski; sister-in-law Angela (Clint) Dzuba; niece Julie and nephew Matthew Dzuba, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by her father-in-law Mike Monasterski. Giselle was born on October 2, 1970 in The Pas, MB. She grew up in Cranberry Portage, MB where she graduated high school at Frontier Collegiate Institute. After high school, Giselle started a new life in Winnipeg, MB. After graduating from Herzing College, she started work as a legal secretary. Throughout her career, she made many friends both inside and outside the workplace. Giselle enjoyed a variety of activities and had numerous circles of close friends and family. Even though Giselle's career was in the city of Winnipeg, she and Darryl built their dream house in the country. This is where she found that she enjoyed all the things that country life had to offer. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Teulon Rockwood Centennial Centre, 14 Main St., Teulon, MB. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Lotocki and staff at CancerCare Manitoba and to the staff at the Stonewall and District Health Centre. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations in Giselle's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
