AURORA C. DIMAPILIS October 13, 1948 - September 25, 2006 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Aurora Dimapilis on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 12:45 a.m., at the St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 57, after a courageous battle with cancer. Aurora will be sadly missed by her three children, Annabel, Madelaine and Albert. Her brother Gregorio (Agie) and sisters, Amelia (Rogelio) and Aida, along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends will greatly miss her. She was born in Mendez, Cavite, the Philippines on October 13, 1948. Aurora attended school in the Philippines, and in Canada she worked as a hairstylist for Aura Hair Salon. Aurora was predeceased by her husband Benjarde Dimapilis and her parents, Eusebio and Magdalena Cruspe. Lamay (viewing) will be held on Wednesday, September 27 (prayers at 8:00 p.m) and Thursday, September 28 from 6:00 p.m. to midnight at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Roman Catholic Church, 818 Arlington St. with Rev. Fr. M. Batucan presiding. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Knysh Funeral Chapel. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of the 8th floor, Palliative Care at the St. Boniface Hospital, especially Niki Partridge, and family and friends from her hometown in Mendez for their loving care and concern for Aurora.
