THEODORE (TED) EDEL March 25, 1937 - September 25, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Ted, on the morning of Monday, September 25, 2006 at the age of 69 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his four children, Arlie, Rodney (Stena), Wynn (Sheila) and Marnie (John); his 11 grandchildren, Corbin, Cal, Ryan, Krista, Sheycee, Lane, Shasta, Cord, Bret, Tia and Cole, three great grandchildren, Cameron, Taylor and Tristan; his ex-wife, Lila; brother Lawrence (Ann) and his sisters, Alice, Marlene and Sue. Dad was born in Shevlin, Manitoba and grew up on the farm. He and his family moved around to different parts of Manitoba and Saskatchewan before settling in Winnipeg where he worked as a cabinet maker for Display Fixtures for over 25 years, retiring in 1997. He was a skillful carpenter and his work can be found in numerous homes around Winnipeg, especially in his children's homes. The family extends their thanks to the staff of 3E Riverview Health Centre for their excellent care and compassion. Funeral services will be held at Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street in St. Boniface on Friday, September 29 at 1:30 p.m. The service will terminate at the church and a private interment of Ted's cremated remains will take place at a later date.
