ESTELLE LUCY MATHEWSON (nee TYCHONICK) 1916-2006 It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Estelle Mathewson on September 23, 2006. She will be fondly remembered by nieces Phyllis (Dan), and Joan (Ernie) and by nephews Philip (Jean), Louis (Lesia), Wayne (Pam) and Roger (Joan) and their families as well as grandson Kevin. She was predeceased by her husband Peter, son Terry, sisters Netta and Marion and brothers Alex and Peter. Estelle enjoyed living in Transcona where she married Peter and raised their son Terry. She was dedicated to her family and took pride in her home and garden. She was always willing to help others especially in their time of need. Estelle was a strong and independent person. She maintained her home until she was 88. At that time, she enjoyed living at Heritage House where she excelled in the walking club. She had a passion for her family, children, animals, sewing and good food. Service will be held at Transcona Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Krochak officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Estelle's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Her memory will always have a treasured place in our hearts.
