AGNES TRACH (nee MICHALKOW) Agnes Trach, mother, Baba, Great-Baba and sister passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the age of 74 years. Mom was born in Mikado, SK, October 20, 1931 to Peter and Victoria Michalkow. Mom completed her school in Mikado. On June 9, 1951 she married our Dad, Edward Trach. They made their home on the farm. In 1957 they moved to Winnipeg. Mom worked for Plastic Film for 28 years. Mom is survived by her children, Karen (Nello) D'Ottavio, Vernon BC, Gerry (Joan) and Kimberly of Winnipeg. Baba leaves six broken hearts, Derek and Niki, Lisa and Craig, and Cory and Dawn. She will also be especially missed by her great grandson Rylan Edward Pats . Mom is survived by her brother Joe (Leona) Michalkow; sisters-in-law, Ann, Kay and Barbara, numerous nephews and nieces. She had a special place in her heart for Gail. She also leaves many friends, especially Baba's special friend Shelby, who gave her a purpose in life. She was predeceased by her husband Edward; mother and father; sisters, Ann and Lena; brothers, John, Alex and Orest. Mom had a heart of gold and her kitchen was her domain. All our freezers were full of perogies, donuts, scuffles and pies. Christmas Eve will never be the same. We would like to thank Fr. Pierre, doctors and staff in Emergency and 5B at St. Boniface Hospital. Mom believed in angels and now she is one. Prayers will be held on Thursday, September 28 at 8:30 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road. Funeral Mass will held on Friday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church, 45 Foster St. with Fr. Pierre Wood presiding. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Of Hope Mausoleum, Green Acres Cemetery.
