Date of Passing: Sep 13, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES KOPLOVICH It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and Zaida, Charles Koplovich, aged 79, on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at the Sharon Home surrounded by his loving family, Todd, Jeff (Heather) and Tara (Carl) Morden and grandchildren, Josh and Noah Morden and Anna Koplovich. He is also survived by his sister Rickey (Moe) Furman of Edmonton, brothers-in-law David Walder and Al (Bernice) Walder and many nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his wife Sadie, sisters Molly Cohen and Leah Miltchin, his brother Mickey, and nephew Albert Miltchin. Charlie grew up in the North End and worked in the garment industry. Charlie married Sadie (Walder) in September 1960, and together they raised a family. He worked hard so that his children could enjoy success and achievement. Charlie had a very strong sense of family and weekends were spent camping. Life for Charlie was a challenge following Sadie's passing in 1986. His life was altered, but Charlie remained focused on family. In his retirement years, Charlie had a routine of shopping, banking, and lunches with family and friends. There were the daily phone calls to family to check to make sure everybody was okay, and to see what was new. Charlie took great pride in his many nieces and nephews, and especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren Josh and Noah grow into the young men that they are today. In his later years, a smile was brought to his face with the arrival of his granddaughter Anna Sadie. Funeral services were held on Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Etz Chayim Synagogue, with interment at the Bnay Abraham Cemetery. The pallbearers were Carl and Josh Morden, Allan Cohen, Howie Goldford, Richard Tapper, and Rob Yusim. Honorary Pallbearers were Moe Furman, David Walder, Noah Morden, David and Morey Koplovich, Alex Ebel, Robin Horel and Bernie Tapper. In Charlie's memory, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
