Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Hi Dad; well it has been 101 years since you were born. I just wanted to acknowledge your memory today. For the last couple of weeks Grace and I have been in Sicily and Southern Italy. I couldn’t stop thinking about you every day and the journey you took with the Canadian Army. I read about the exploits of the Canadian Army as you marched across Sicily and Italy. I am so proud of you. You landed in Sicily in 1943 at age 21 and I am sure you wondered if you would survive such a war. Thanks for surviving and coming home to Mom and doing the best you could. Considering all you went through in your life you did amazing. I wish I could call you and wish you Happy Birthday but I can’t. My hope is in Christ who promised us a new life and eternal life if we believe in Him. I know you believed in Him so I am confident we will meet again. Thanks again for being my Dad. I really miss you. I love you. Roger - Posted by: Roger Cretain (Son) on: Sep 11, 2023

  • Hi Dad, I can't believe you've been gone for 7 years already. As I get older, I'm starting to understand the dark side of you and I'm slowly forgiving you. But through it all, I've come to some positive conclusions. Give mom a hug for me. love alice - Posted by: Alice (daughter) on: Aug 18, 2013
