Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAUD CAMERON ROSE (nee SUMMERS) (BELL) Maud Cameron Rose, passed away peacefully on the 29th day of September 2006, at Victoria, BC. Born February 14, 1911 near Swift Current, Saskatchewan, then moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in her teens to take courses on Stenography, which was her proud occupation until she met and married her soul mate John Summers. After a happy life on Clare Avenue they moved to Victoria BC in 1970. Maud was predeceased by her husband John in 1976, sister Eve and brother-in-law Bill Clinch, brother John Bell and sister-in-law Jean Dixon (Summers). Maud was a life member of Eastern Star Lodge, Queen Winnipeg No. 1, and a faithful member of St. Aidens Church. Throughout her life, Maud had a wonderful disposition and a great sense of humour. A further phase of her life began when she married Wilfred Rose, whom she married in 1990 in Victoria, BC. Maud and Wilf enjoyed travelling and socializing with friends and family, until his passing on November 3, 1999. Maud is survived by her Winnipeg family, Violet Watt (Summers), nieces nieces and nephews who were her surrogate children, nine great-nieces and great-nephews and one great-great-nephew; and her stepfamily including one stepdaughter and three stepsons, and a further 19 grandchildren. Interment of Maud's cremated remains will take place at Hatley Memorial Gardens, in Victoria, BC. Special thanks go to the staff at Dogwood 3 of Oak Bay Lodge in Victoria, and where Maud was resident since November 1999. Flowers are gratefully declined. If so desired, donations in Maud's memory may be made to the British Columbia or Manitoba Alzheimer's Society.
