FELIX LIBERATO ARAUJO FIGUEIREDO It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, Felix Figueiredo on October 6, 2006 at Concordia Hospital. He passed peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 67 years. Felix will be lovingly remembered by his wife Maria da Luz; son Sonny; daughter Elizabeth and grandson Cody, who was his pride and joy; brothers, Afonso (Guida), Diniz (Margarida), Gabriel (Ines); sister-in-law Albertina Araujo; brother-in-law José (Amelia) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Felix was predeceased by his parents Manuel and Rosa Figueiredo, brother-in-law Fernando Araujo and sister-in-law Maria José Mendes, mother and father-in-law José and Maria da Encarnaçao Ledo. Felix was born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores, where he and Maria da Luz were married in 1963 and came to Canada in 1965. He was a devoted husband, hard worker and a wonderful father. He loved nothing more than being surrounded by his family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at CancerCare, Health Sciences Centre, St. Boniface Palliative Care, Home Care and Concordia Hospital for all their support and compassion these past two years. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 12 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
