MAE GAMBLE (HEWITSON)

MAE GAMBLE (nee HEWITSON) Mae passed away at Heritage Lodge on October 8, 2006 at the age of 86. She is survived by her husband Peter and sons, Dennis and Richard and their families. Mae was a professional roller skater in her early years and performed in a trio known as Two Hits and a Miss. She later assisted in the formation of the senior Roller Skaters Association at the Winnipeg Roller Rink (Galaxy). Mae also worked with Peter in the operation of the family business, Gamble Radio Company on Portage Avenue. Thanks to Keltie and Dianne for sitting with Mae in her final hours and to the staff at Heritage Lodge for their care in her short time with them. Cremation has taken place and no service is planned as per Mae's wishes.
