Friesen aged 79 years of Altona Ebenezer Home and formerly of Gretna, MB, passed away peacefully at the Altona Health Care Centre on October 13, 2006. Left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Coleen Neustaeter, Darlene Friesen (Micheal Lerner), Sharon (Dave) Stooke; sons Ken (Val) Friesen; Don (Sandy) Friesen; four grandchildren and two foster children. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Susan in August of 2005. The funeral service for David M. Friesen will be Wednesday October 18 at 2:00 p.m. from the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Gretna, MB with interment to follow in the Gretna Cemetery. Viewing will be at Wiebe Funeral Home Altona on Monday, October 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday October 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. In memory of David M. Friesen donations may be made to the Gretna Prairie Senior Centre. Wiebe Funeral Home Altona Ltd. 204-324-5404 in care of arrangements.
