HUMBERTO DASILVA It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our husband, father, grandfather, Humberto DaSilva, aged 80 years. He passed away peacefully on October 13, 2006 at the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory, Cremilde his beloved wife of 54 years; children, Gilda (Louis); Humberto Jr. (Aldora); Carlos (Debbie) grand-children Michael, Garett, Mark and Selena as well as brothers Arturo and Mariano of Kitimat, BC. and other extended family. Humberto was born in Acores, Portugal on February 16, 1926 and was predeceased by both his parents and two brothers, Alfredo and Bento. The family would like to thank the Home Care nurses who attended him during his illness and the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate and excellent care. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. as celebrant with entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery.
