ROBERT ALLAN ST. JOHN BIGGS (Change in Location of Service) On Saturday, October 14, 2006, Robert, 61 years, with family by his side, passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Robert was born February 23, 1945 in Winnipeg. He married Darlene McDougall on June 3, 1972. Robert is survived by Darlene, his loving wife of 34 years; his two children, Jerett (Candice) and Bradley (Anna); his mother Gladys and brother Douglas (Sally) and blessed with his extended family including eight grandchildren. Robert was predeceased by his father (Papa) Raymond Francis Biggs (March 19, 2003). Robert's love of his family could never be questioned. Robert was a proud member of the Winnipeg Police Service from March 3, 1966 until his retirement as Sergeant on July 11, 1994. Robert was quick witted, with a dry sense of humour, always ready to pull a prank. His lighthearted, kind nature will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of his friendship. His pastimes included stamp collecting and attending his club meetings. History and learning were very important to him although he would never admit to being wrong, even with proof of his mistake. The family wishes to thank all the nursing staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital, especially the I.C.U. for the wonderful care and compassion at this unexpected time. We would also like to thank Dr. Lerner for his efforts in keeping our father alive so that the family could say goodbye one last time to Dad. Our father is at peace now with Papa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on Robert's behalf to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
