Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEO MONDOR It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Leo Mondor, the son of the late Francois and Olive Mondor, on November 2, 2006. Leo was born on October 23, 1923 in Lorette, MB. He attended school in the Lorette area. At a very young age, he started working with his father, well-drilling. He later started working on his own, self employed, drilling wells in many places in southeastern Manitoba. Leo was a member of the Manitoba Water Well Drilling Assoc., before his retirement in 1980. He was also a member of St. Martyrs-Canadiens Parish, the Knights of Columbus and the Royal Canadian Legion, Norwood Branch No. 43. Besides his beloved Godchild, niece Louise Kawaler, Leo also leaves to mourn, his sister Therese Hunt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, many good, dear friends and Gilberte. He was predeceased by his mother and father; five sisters, Sr. Agathe, Emilia, Rose, Annette and Eugenie; and three brothers, Octave, Emile and Elie. Leo's family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Kevin Coates and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, 6A for all their wonderful care. It was very much appreciated. A Celebration of Life for Leo will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, at St. Martyrs-Canadiens Parish, 289 Dussault Ave. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service.
