Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOBUS (JACK) HOOGENDORP On Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at the Vista Park Lodge, Jack passed away after suffering complications from a fractured hip at the age of 88 years. Jack leaves to mourn his loving daughter Rita Meyer; son-in-law John Meyer; grandchildren Angela, Jeff, Dan; great-grandchildren Chantelle, Erica Jayse, Kyle, Taylor, Barak, Caeden and Nolan; sister Johana Vanloon as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Coby; son Jacobus and his grandson Jack Meyer. Born in The Hague in 1918, Jack immigrated to Winnipeg with his wife and two children in 1954. Here he took on the challenge of learning a new language and obtained work as an electrician for the Government of Manitoba, taking pride in his profession, as he did in all areas of his life. Jack's creativity was revealed through his work, family and artistic talents. He greatly enjoyed fishing and camping. A private funeral service will be held in Wojcik's All Beliefs and Faiths Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow where Jack will be laid to rest beside his wife Coby and son Jacobus in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Our family would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to the staff at Vista Park Lodge who encouraged his fun loving nature and provided him with quality personal care.
